The beachfront accommodation on Koh Samet has an amazing atmosphere!
This accommodation has a great atmosphere, right by the sea and close to the pier. There are room options in both beach and jungle zones, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Koh Samet!

Very mixed...
It's hard to show a positive overall rating for this hotel which is in the high average price on Koh Samet Island... because there is good, but also less happy bcp. On the positive side, the location in the eastern part of the island is less frequented by hordes of tourists and has a clean, quiet and uncrowded sandy beach. It is also in an area relatively untouched by pollution because K. Samet has become an open-air garbage can (wild landfills, stinking sewers, multiple waste on the beaches... fortunately it is a national park!) In addition a swimming pool is available, in full sun and under the seaside rooms... The restaurant serves a perfectly decent breakfast with a choice of hot dishes and the usual attributes of an early snack. Note, however, that tables sunk into the ground require acrobatics to move in and out... Typical, original? certainly but uncomfortable. The restaurant is relatively expensive for a decent quality but ultimately not very different from that served in the village when it comes to Thai dishes. The rooms are friendly at first glance (we were in "jungle zone"... with the passage of a giant lizard and a calao at the top of a tel. pole). Safe, wifi, balcony without interest, kettle, bathroom with toilet, internet tv, air conditioning... all this seems clean and serene, except that 1) the soundproofing is zero and so if you have indelicate neighbors (like ours ch.305 from 4 to 9/3) you won't be able to sleep before they sag (from giggling to various cries passing by jumps on the beds etc... everything passes there); 2) the fleas that will devastate you in addition to mosquitoes... it may be the jungle, for the price paid we would hope for a little more DDT to exterminate all this vermin...

First time in Koh Samet.
I stayed here for two nights and the service was excellent. They provide a boat transfer, and the breakfast was delicious, especially the fish porridge. I also got to see the sunrise in the morning. It's part of the Samed Resorts Group, and I went to see the sunset at Ao Prao.
There's a light show every Friday and Saturday, but my stay didn't coincide with that, so I went to see it at Winkks, Saikaew Beach Resort instead.

Perfect place, right at the north part. Sunrise on the patio of the hotel so it was amazing to wake up and see that. Even if it was early.
Room was clean and net. Spacious bed that was really comfortable. The breakfast was right on the beach next to the hotell and good but simple.
It is a bit from the main part of the Island and I did some move around to see the different beaches.
