Wonderful vacation.
I loved Ostuni a mare; we will probably return next year as well.
The property is beautiful, the pool and the lagoon are enchanting, and beach access is easy because there is a little train that leaves every 10 minutes. It is not true that you have to be careful as I read in a review before leaving; you just need to take a photo of the schedule. And they are quite punctual anyway. In fact, if they see you in the distance, they wait for you. The food is delicious, especially at the restaurant upstairs with a beautiful atmosphere. I don't think the deluxe room is suitable for 4 people, but next time I will look at the square footage better.
Furthermore, the area was very beautiful.
Sometimes we received a somewhat annoyed response, but I believe it was due to the fact that it was Ferragosto and everyone was under stress. After Ferragosto, there was a quieter and calmer atmosphere, and the staff was too. Anyway, a beautiful vacation. My children had a great time both at the beach and in the pools.
The only downside, which is more of a suggestion, is that those who occupy the sun loungers before breakfast and then leave, only to return at 12, should report it and have the towels removed; unfortunately, I saw a few cheaters. The lifeguard, however, especially the tall, thin one with light eyes, as soon as I pointed it out, immediately removed the empty towels and let me settle in with the children. Really very good.

P.S. For those who love to travel like we do, it is very close to other renowned villages and farmhouses; I booked before leaving and we visited beautiful places since everything was very close.

Unwelcoming for Families
Unwelcoming for Families
My family and I checked in on August 28th 2026 for a stay, and while the bartenders were pleasant and friendly, our overall experience was severely ruined by the resort's unwelcoming atmosphere toward families.
We stayed with our three young children (all under 10), and from the moment we arrived at the pool, we felt like we were under constant surveillance. The pool staff and lifeguards repeatedly harassed my kids and me for basic pool play complaining about minor splashing or talking too loudly. Even after switching between pools, we were constantly made to feel like we were at the mercy of other guests who wanted absolute silence.
A major underlying issue is that the resort plays no music at all, creating an eerie, dead quiet where every normal child’s laugh or splash sounds amplified. Because there weren't many other families staying at the hotel, ours stood out, and we were effectively penalized for it. Rather than stepping in to manage expectations or create a hospitable environment, staff made us feel like total outcasts for simply enjoying a family vacation.
The food was just average, and while the bar staff did their best, it does not make up for the atrocious customer service and poor management overall. If you are traveling with children, save yourself the frustration. I would never in my life recommend Ostuni a Mare to families.

A resort to recommend.
Very beautiful property, recently taken over by the group that manages Borgo Egnazia. Our room was recently renovated and definitely spacious (a junior suite) with two bathrooms and effectively two independent bedrooms (one of the two was a living room with a large sofa bed).
Good quality breakfast in the morning, perhaps a bit too noisy inside due to the echoing of the guests' voices. The restaurants for dinner were also good; in our booking we only had breakfast included, but we stopped by in the evening a couple of times. The beach restaurant is very good, sometimes the service is a bit slow due to the large influx of customers.
The beach service is very efficient, but the poor lifeguards should have the right to have at least a small house or a tent where they can take shelter during the hottest hours of the day to avoid being in the sun all day.... To reach the beach, the little train absolutely must be reactivated, otherwise the walk can be a bit tedious (...and the replacement service from the Lobby to the beach is often always full).
The pool area should be renovated to give luster to the entire property, especially the largest pool at the lowest level still seems a bit old-fashioned.
In conclusion: the property has enormous potential, it must be completely renovated and fixed up, as they have already done for the Lobby, for some rooms, and for a part of the common areas; that said, we recommend a vacation at this resort.
It is also convenient for reaching various locations in beautiful Puglia, including Ostuni, Cisternino, Locorotondo, Monopoli, etc.

A five star ⭐️ rating!
The location of the hotel was great. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Claudio in particular was so nice and friendly. He helped us so much. This was our first time visiting Puglia so his expertise was appreciated. The hotel atmosphere was amazing . The food , pools and the beach were impeccable. I would definitely recommend this place and revisit again. Worth every penny. A must see !

Best trip ever !
I cannot say enough about this beautiful property and the wonderful people who work and manage Ostuni a Mare.From the welcoming front desk staff Matina and Claudio to the restaurant management,bartenders,pool and life guard attendants (Dario) to the fabulous wait staff at the wonderful restaurants on property.Most of all a Very special Thank You to the Gentleman Giuseppe Di Tano front desk manager and His team for accommodating us when our travel plans erupted, making sure we were taken care of.Ostuni is the most beautiful special place and We cannot wait to come back to Puglia. Thank You to Ostuni a Mare for the stay of a lifetime
