Great for those traveling

I give it a 3 out of 5 rating simply because the location wins big here, really big, as it is excellent for those traveling... going to Salento with a stop on the way there and on the way back. Then let's talk about the property: beds to be reviewed but (especially the pillows), what can I say, quite old, some outlets that didn't work, and clearly in need of renovation, but the room was very, very large; then a classic international breakfast, but as I said at the beginning, for those traveling, it is excellent, but the location wins over everything!

The hotel is clearly not a 4*, probably a 2 *. As soon as you walk in the entrance was really dirty. The hotel is old and not well maintained, the elevators at one point was dark, the light wasn't working, the mattress was soo bad, I had to ask to change the mattress. The toilet run by itself every hour, that noice waked us up at night, I told the front desk, but did nothing. Breakfast was just okay. Very disappointed

Better than nothing. Almost everything needs improvement, and a lot!

The only things I appreciate about this stay - as a member of a large group for five nights - are the courtesy of the reception staff, the exquisite attentiveness of the restaurant waitresses, and the satisfactory overall cleanliness.
It is a hotel that must have seen better days. The four stars are a faded memory of its past. How sad!
However, the kitchen hits rock bottom. The impression I had is that the "chef" (if you can call him that) does not want to do this job and/or has only previous experience in catering at a hospital: depressing starters, tough meats, second-rate fish, wilted vegetables, discount wine.
In conclusion, I, who am easy to please and have an endless spirit of adaptation, managed to enjoy it.
However, I strongly doubt that I will return and I do not feel comfortable recommending it.
The two points of appreciation are the average between the good staff mentioned and everything else.

I stayed at Best Western Hotel HR Bari and the experience was overall correct, without more.
The hotel is well located for quick access to the road and may be suitable for a short stop or business trip. The staff is rather friendly and the services remain in the average, which corresponds overall to the ratings observed around 6.9 to 7/10 depending on the platforms.
On the other hand, several points are disappointing. The site’s photos don’t really reflect reality, especially the swimming pool, which is far from as attractive as advertised — it feels like an abandoned pond.
Another more serious problem: the mattress in the room was defective, with a very sharp spring that had drilled. This could have caused a serious injury, and it was necessary to ask for a change in order to sleep properly, which is not normal for an establishment of this standing.
Finally, the hotel is generally quite aging, which is also reflected in some guest reviews mentioning an dated structure and antique amenities.
In short, a hotel that is acceptable for one night but does not really match the image given online and clearly needs improvement, especially in terms of comfort and maintenance

Food absolutely terribleor even worse than that

On arrival i was very impressed with the welcome i received from Isabella the receptionist. A lovely warm welcome- she informed me i coulntveat until 8.45 as this was the only time available but she said she would try and accommodate earlier which she duty did. The hotel is extremely tired looking with a definite need to paint the walls at least - Carpets could be changed but I realise that is expensive. However the biggest problem is the dinner. I ordered a burger and french friend. A dry burger was throw up on undercooked chips - not a sign of a piece of salad - i ate it as i was travelling all day but it was worse than terrible . The best part of the meal was a sorbetto but unfortunately served with a fork !!! A first for me !! It is not a cheap hotel as I paid euro 81.00 for the night which I get in London heathrow in the Premier Inn with superb dinner and breakfast.
What a pity when you have wonderful staff like Isabella out front and you can't get a kitchen staff together .
Also i didn't understand why i would have had to wait until 8.45 to eat as the restaurant was nearly empty except for a few men eating plus a group of atmround ten men
