Ideal for immersing yourself in the most authentic Abruzzo.

Simple but very beautiful apartment with a large garden, shared with other guests, located in an ancient village with incredible charm. Located in an ideal spot to be able to enjoy all the artistic, historical, and natural beauties of the Velino Sirente Regional Park. Absolutely splendid for those who want to immerse themselves in the charm of the truest Abruzzo.

Like in a movie...

Just returned from three days in Abruzzo, I am writing now... on the spur of the moment to ensure that the flavors, the smells, the sounds of this short but intense vacation do not slip away...
Alle vecchie querce is a small ancient village, far from roads and deafening noises, far from crowded cities and annoying shouts. Those who want peace should not hesitate because the place regenerates body and mind. Do not expect luxurious houses, gardens, and swimming pools from the Arabian Nights; these are stone dwellings with wooden furniture and everything you need to feel at home. In the evening, at twilight, the alleys and lights bring back a distant Middle Ages...it feels like being catapulted into a historical film. The garden is well-kept and full of aromatic plants of all kinds and more...butterflies and little birds enliven the life of the place with wonderful sounds and colors.
Giorgio is a passionate guy, he loves his land and conveys so much peace to the traveler, just like the village he manages. From the village, there are beautiful trails to hike, and by car, you can reach beautiful little towns perched on rocky spurs, Romanesque churches, caves, and evocative gorges.
I recommend this place to lovers of simplicity, ancient villages, silence, and nature.

alternative experience

Special experience. The holiday home is in San Pio, 10 minutes from Fontecchio, in an ancient micro village still half uninhabited. The context is quite isolated from the town itself, so tranquility is assured, with some feeling of isolation. The house is clean and equipped, but know that the bed is on a mezzanine accessible with a fairly steep wooden staircase and the bathroom is below, and this could create some difficulties. The owner, Giorgio, very helpful both to facilitate logistical difficulties, both for advice and explanations. All in all positive experience, with some negligible naivety, like the soap dispenser in the empty bathroom. Recommended for alternatives

Peace of mind

I've known Giorgio and Stefania for a long time. I came back after years.
Nice to meet you. Great welcome, the house "the daisies, improved, clean, nothing is missing, fresh and restful.
San Pio and nearby Fontecchio are places of rest of body and mind for those who want but also good food and walking. Recommended

Peace of mind

I highly recommend the apartment we stayed 4 days and 3 nights and I can say that we stayed a wonder the clean and well-equipped house of all place really impeccable I will be back soon. Also recommended for families
