Lovely wine tasting weekend!
We had the best long weekend at the Franziska Haus! Loved the spacious Simon’s Perch suite- with beautiful natural light, the most comfy king bed, and balcony to watch sunrise with our coffee. Loved the mini- farm property with sheep (two baby lambs were just born), alpacas, and chickens (which laid our eggs for breakfast).
We ventured out for wine tasting in Dundee, with 700 vineyards to choose from in the Willamette Valley we just barely tasted all they have to offer!
Red Hills Market was our go-to for lunch and dinner. Welcoming staff, wood-fired oven, beautiful atrium for dining, delicious local wines and brews.
Loved our time at this beautiful bed and breakfast, and the memorable visit to Dundee!

Wonderful Experience
We had such a lovely stay at this charming bed and breakfast in Oregon wine country. My husband and I met up there with my mom and brother, and it ended up being the perfect setting for a relaxed and memorable family getaway.
The property itself is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, well-maintained, and surrounded by that classic rolling wine country scenery. One of the highlights was definitely the livestock; it added such a unique, cozy touch and made the whole experience feel a little more special and personal.
Our accommodations were spotless and clearly very well cared for. Everything felt fresh, updated, and thoughtfully designed, which made it easy to settle in and fully unwind. You can tell the hosts take real pride in keeping the space clean and comfortable.
Another standout was the wine tasting recommendations. They pointed us toward some fantastic wineries we might not have discovered on our own, and every suggestion was a hit.
All in all, it was a wonderful stay—beautiful surroundings, warm atmosphere, and just an all-around great place to spend quality time with family. We’d absolutely come back!

A gem!
The property is bucolic. Our room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly maintained. Service was outstanding. The owner of the Inn is extremely attentive. Very convenient location to wineries and good restaurants. Highly recommend.

Wine Country Charm
Wonderful time spent at this warm and inviting wine country retreat.
When you arrive you are greeted with a stunning and spacious cabin on a sprawling estate that feels akin to ski loges yet retains a cozy and inviting feel. A well manicured property with ample parking a gate make for a nice entrance to the property.
From the room size and layout to the simple additions of locally sourced coffee the property owners did not miss a thing.
The bed was a treat as was the large walk in zero entry shower replete with quality tile, ample natural shampoo, conditioner and soap, large soft towels, comfortable robes and special makeup washrags.
The ensuite bathroom was very spacious and allowed for ample room to prepare for dinners and or wine tasting in the areas many wonderful wineries and or world class restaurants or just aa visit to the many local Pizza, BBQ or up level eateries.
Another nice little touch is the addition of a full height mirror next to the closet that came equipped with quality wood hangers for my sport coat and my wife's dress's. Again the little touches help make this a winner for myself and wife.
Breakfast was another treat. Home made German pancakes, fresh fruit and sausage with the delicious local coffee and orange juice made for a great meal and start to the day.
The shared indoor and outdoor spaces are appointed with high quality and comfortable furnishings. The estate offers space to stretch out and enjoy privacy or join in conversation with others staying at the bed and breakfast if you are social.
Waking up and enjoying the views of the surrounding hills that contain some of the worlds best wines is a welcome site. Add to that the quite of the area lends itself to a relaxing environment to recharge.
Family or professional group events here are a great option with space for all to enjoy. Family reunions or weddings would be fantastic here as well.
An hour or so drive west lands you at the Oregon coast, head east to visit Mt. Hood or go south to central Oregon for a completely different feel. The options here are endless.
Do yourself a favor and stay here even if it is for a single night out while venturing from PDX to escape the rat race and enjoy some time in the heart of wine country. A week here would be heaven.
