Wonderful B&B

We came up for a quick Hudson Valley getaway and stayed at this lovely bed and breakfast. The host treated us like family, opening the house up for us to use. He prepared a lovely breakfast and could have been our personal tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the house and area. We are so happy to have found this comfortable welcoming bed and breakfast!

Poor Interaction

I was in the area for a class reunion and thought I might return in the fall to stay at the inn. Upon arriving I found the house closed and no staff. As I was leaving I encountered someone driving in who stated he was the owner and questioned what I was doing there. I related that I was thinking of coming back in the fall and wondered if I could look around but the inn was locked and no staff around. He rudely stated it was a Bed and Breakfast, what did I expect. Taken back by his rudeness and condescending attitude I told him at least a staff member to be available to assist and answer questions. Instead of then changing his attitude and becoming helpful or welcoming he continued to display a
negative demeanor. This supposed owner will never get my business or that of anyone I know. He is a poor excuse for a host or business owner.

Breakfast made to order was very nice! Owner operator very helpful and knew a great deal of the history of the property and area. Currently doing a little rehab on pool and sitting/coffee parlor but a quiet neat little location.

We had an absolutely amazing stay! The property was fantastic, the room stupendous, the bathtub a god-send, and the property owner and staff were next level! Will recommend this to all of our friends, family, and strangers as THE place to go visit and stay!

Lovely stay at the Brinckerhoff Inn! Bob is a gracious and kind host who clearly takes great pride in this historic home. The property is beautiful, and each of the rooms has its own unique decor which transports you back to another era. My stay was too short and I hope to return soon.
