Good Italian restaurant downstairs where you can get discount. Lovely clean room, with comfy beds and great amenities. Very quiet and close to a bus stop. Our only minor issue was a constantly dripping tap (room 6006) - this should get fixed as it is wasting water :)

A pleasant stay

A nice hotel in which even the smallest, basic hotel rooms seem to be a bit more than basic, with some useful furniture such as a desk and an armchair. By comparison with some other (Scandic) hotels, they had better vegan options at breakfast, including cheese, cold cuts, chia pudding...
The only real con was an extremely unreliable room door and its lock, which always required multiple attempts to close and lock in such a way that it couldn't be opened without a key from the outside.

Excellent service/Pet friendly

My little dog Sherlock and I visited Scandic Vulkan. We received excellent service from Gintare at the reception. Breakfast was tastefull and hood variety of options.
Sherlock felt welcome. We are looking forward to come back.

The Vulcan area is conveniently located. The rooms are compact but contain all requirements.
Breakfast although self service is well managed, with an excellent food selection and has a peaceful morning vibe.
The Mathallen food and drinks area next store appears an excellent option for dining and socialising.

Great location, but the room was a letdown

The bathroom was not clean, and the toilet seat was loose, which gave the impression that it had not been properly maintained. The ventilation system stopped working, so we were unable to lower the temperature in the room. Instead of moving us to another room, we were given a small desk fan, which did very little to help, especially after several days of temperatures above 30°C and tropical nights. As a result, we spent the night in a hot, stuffy room with poor air circulation and got very little sleep.
Anyway: The breakfast buffet was ok. The location is great and its easy to get around.
