Wonderful Christmas as with friends

As a frequent traveler I have been to various hotels worldwide. For the family stay (mother, wife & dog Timo) over Christmas, I had let myself be convinced by the good reviews before and booked for the first time with the Fischer family. Our expectations were absolutely exceeded and if I could, I would award 7 stars. One feels incl. Dog like home - with friends. Everything absolutely clean and well maintained. Of course, the spa area is also worth highlighting. Just great class! Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The location of the hotel unbeatable. Train station in sight and the same applies to the pedestrian zone. Value for money absolutely fair & reasonable. Dear Fischer family, we thank you very much for an unforgettable stay and wish you and all employees all the best. We hope to come back one day. Best regards from Mannheim :-)

Very nice, friendly and centrally located hotel in Oberstdorf

Even before we arrived, we had very friendly contact via email. We arrived at the hotel at 9 a.m. on the day of arrival. We were allowed to park our vehicle in the hotel car park and were able to take part in the extensive breakfast buffet (for a fee). The breakfast buffet offers something for everyone. In addition to various coffee specialties (please ask the very friendly staff), you can also ask for various egg preparations (boiled eggs, fried eggs). Scrambled eggs are always available at the buffet.
Our room was spacious and modernly furnished. We arrived with a dog. Dog towels were available both in the entrance area and in the room.
The spa area offers various saunas, relaxation rooms, etc. Everything is very clean and offers a modern Alpine flair.
At the reception and in the Spar area, you can get drinks from refrigerators that have to be charged to the room on a trust basis. The prices are absolutely OK. Directly opposite the hotel there is an EDEKA that is open until 8 p.m. The train station is a 2-minute walk away. Basically very centrally located. We were only here for 3 nights, but we could imagine staying longer. Thank you very much, we had a very nice stay.

If Oberstdorf, then only at the Hotel Schellenberg

We are delighted with the Hotel Schellenberg and have already recommended it to relatives and friends. Everything is just right here. You feel very comfortable as a guest. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. We wanted to stay 3 days longer than we had booked and despite difficulties it was made possible. The breakfast, the rooms, the beautiful and extremely inviting wellness area, the lounge, we really liked everything. The location is excellent, it was an extremely quiet and relaxing stay in the Schellenberg house.
Everything is very lovingly and tastefully furnished and designed. We can only recommend this hotel and praise it highly.
We will spend our Oberstdorf vacation here again and again and we will also recommend this hotel to our adult children.

Very nice location

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel and enjoyed that it has been so close to the train station as well as not too far away from the main street entering the village.
City center 10 - 15 minutes walking distance.
Good breakfast and buffet is always refilled.
Price is on the higher end of the scale but the friendly staff ensures a positive feeling.

The hotel is owned and run by the Schellenberg family with great hospitality. the hotel has a great wellness area with different saunas and a pool, the breakfast is typical German and lovely. Any request will be dealt with personally and with great attention.
