Good business/city hotel

The Pullman Hotel Munich is a good business and city hotel. Good location - about 15 to 20 minutes to Marienplatz, nice, functional rooms.
The gym is well equipped - e.g. with free weights up to 20 kg, multi-tower/multi-gym... - and thus a maintenance training is well possible.

Good first impression.

A good first impression upon arrival with a quick and efficient check in. The suite was very comfortable and very spacious with very good bedding. Too bad that the view of the surface of the room there is no bath but only a shower (no shampoo and no tissues available in the room).
The spa is also nice with its quiet room. We appreciate the two saunas and the hammam.
Reception and lobbies are also pleasant. Mini marketing is absolutely overpriced for what it offers, it’s shameful to have to pay around 15 euros for a vacuum pasta dish (go to the supermarket downstairs you will gain in rates and quality).
Room service is only done on request, the only time we asked, at 5pm it was still not done, we had to ask and the service was more than summary which is not normal in a Pullman. It would seem that there was only one woman asking for cleaning... For so many rooms... She had nothing to do with it and probably did what she could with the small means she is given.
The bar ask cleaning the hotel is nice, do not consider dining there one night. It is important to note that you have to make arrangements because there is nothing close to the hotel and without a car it is complicated. It’s the hotel’s mini market or supermarket. We wanted to dine there, the kitchen was closed (it was 20:00). We gave the menu of snacks (there are 5 and that evening it was pizza or soup because we could not expect anything more), it is a shame the menu was appetizing, but we will not be able to say if it was good.
In summary, we are mixed, the first impression was the right one, but we are very far from a pullman hotel and the services that can be found in others.

Staff are pleasant and helpful.
Each room from our group had dirty carpets and other furnishings with large spots left uncleaned. Breakfast price is ridiculous as is the hotels dynamic pricing structure surrounding events in the city.
Hotel is situated near the UBahn which was a good option to use during our stay.

“Decent rooms but serious shortcomings in service”

Pullman Munich leaves an overall very mixed impression.
Positive first: The room itself was fine, and basically the value for money is right – at least at first glance.
Unfortunately, it also stops there.
The check-in was bumpy. Although it was expressly agreed that we would be informed as soon as the room was ready, we did not receive a call. Instead, the information only came after we had already moved into the room ourselves – completely uncoordinated and unnecessary.
The next point is more serious: The hair dryer in the room was defective and started smoking when it was switched on – a clear safety deficiency. During the phone complaint, we were first seriously asked if we knew how to turn on the hairdryer. After a two-time follow-up and a total waiting time of about 25 minutes – we had wet hair and an appointment – a technician appeared. However, he came without a replacement device and wanted to check the obviously defective hair dryer again first. Only after a total of about 35 minutes was a working hairdryer finally brought. This approach is unacceptable.
The parking situation is also problematic: For 28 euros per night, the underground car park is not only expensive, but also overbooked. We had to switch to an external parking lot not belonging to the hotel. This is simply unprofessional for a hotel of this category.
The biggest criticism, however, comes to a conclusion: Room cleaning is not automatic. Instead, this must be actively requested via a QR code. To do this, you should provide personal data such as your own e-mail address and fill out a form. Afterwards, you will receive a confirmation of receipt, and at some point later the notification whether the cleaning will be carried out. This system is not only unnecessarily complicated, but also seems at least questionable under data protection law and is absolutely unworthy of a hotel of this class.
Conclusion: The Pullman Munich offers decent rooms, but fails in several basic service areas. Organisation, communication and procedures are not up to the standard you can expect here.

Da wir über 198 Hotelparkplätze, verteilt auf 2 Ebenen, verfügen ist es äußerst unwahrscheinlich, dass wir kein Parkplatz für Sie frei hatten.
