Great Home Base in Loreto!

We gave Hotel Oasis Loreto 5 stars and would absolutely stay here again. It’s a fantastic jump-off point for exploring Loreto and the perfect home base—walkable to the malecón, the historic district, and town in general. Having the private parking lot was also a huge plus and made day trips super easy.
We loved the private pool area as a reset after beach days and before heading back out for an evening walk into town. The morning breakfast buffet was a highlight, and the outdoor dining setup is truly unmatched—relaxed, scenic, and exactly the kind of place you want to linger with coffee.
Our room had spectacular views at different times of day, with the ocean and islands right there, but the sunrise views were especially special. Also: the dogs on the property were the sweetest—so personable and added to the whole welcoming vibe.
The staff really made the stay. The front desk team helped us get settled right away, and the restaurant crew not only provided great service, but also gave genuinely amazing local recommendations—beach spots and day trips that they go to, not just the standard tourist list.
Oasis isn’t fancy—and that’s part of why we loved it. It’s a beach hotel that feels exactly right for a small Mexican beach town: comfortable, friendly, well-located, and a place you’ll want to come back to. We can’t wait to return.

We found the the property to be everything we hoped it would be. Great location, friendly, helpful staff at check-in, restaurant , bar and housekeeping.

I believe this is the first hotel in Loreto built in the 60s, I think that is a good value, being in front of the ocean but the age shows, rooms are spacious and clean , I liked the old baja cave painting theme in our room, and I liked they had kayaks and paddle boards in site So oyu an enjoy a nice ocean ride.
How ever the equipment need to be better maintained, board was missing the fin and the paddle missing half .
Being a pet friendly hotel is a plus for pet lover not so much for me.
The one thing that really needs attention is the smell in the toilet and the leaky shower head , I guess it comes with the old building.
Free breakfast is a plus, don't take any of the extras they try to sell you like the coffee with goat milk not really worth the 8 bucks a cup .
Since it's kind of an icon hotel in Loreto , many people swear by it .
I would probably stay some place else next time.

Beautiful area & friendly staff. Only 2 breakfasts are included per room, even if you make a reservation for more. It was cheaper to take the kids elsewhere. They loved the pool & beach. Good, older place for a night's stop.

This is my favorite place to stop when traveling Baja. It is beautiful, peaceful, the scenery is spectacular. The food and service are exemplary. And it’s super dog friendly.
