Great food, and soon all spruced up!

An absolute must when in Nanyuki, a lovely restaurant with great service. Whatever you order, do order the samosas - they are the best in town! Going through a management change indeed so everything that was tired is being done up, give it a little bit of time and it will be fabulous again. But even now, the food is great again!

Avoid this place! (June 2026)

Avoid this place as it seems to be going through some ownership/management change and it’s become quite run down. Rooms are tired, bathroom not very clean, only hot water in the taps, restaurant is run down with rusty furniture and food (eggs, bacon, etc) and rubbish all over the floor, our plates and cutlery were not clean, with stains and bits of food stuck to the napkins they gave us. There was hair in the our food. The swimming pool water was murky and dirty. Basically the place is in disarray and very badly managed at the moment.

Everything lovely about this place - from the decor, ambience to the food

We were a group of 8 for a holiday in Nanyuki. For starters, we ordered the specials - spicy lentil soup, piri piri halloumi with red onion marmalade and the feta stuffed falafel which are fresh and delicious. For the mains, got a lot of items from Caesar chicken salad, grilled snapper, pizzas, chicken pesto spaghetti and spicy zucchini pasta. Have to say it was all top notch and comparable to the best places in Nairobi. This was complements by a beautiful garden seating, not to forget mentioning a tastefully done indoor seating. Service was great too. Highly recommended if you are in Nanyuki !

Fabulous! We’ll be Back!

Great food, cozy restaurant with a fireplace and kitty cat. The hotel rooms are beautiful with all amenities and wonderful price point. Would definitely stay and dine at Le Rustic again. Staff is also excellent. Ready to help in any way possible. The gift shop was also great, I bought clothes and a souvenir there, all quality and not over priced.

Le Rustique is a charming haven just far enough from the bustling town of Nanyuki, while still very close. The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, the cottages are roomy, comfortable and quaint. Would definitely recommend!!
