Amazing family stay with great food and a fantastic onsen
The traditional tatami mat rooms were an instant hit with the kids, they loved the experience and layout. The grounds of the property are beautifully presented and remarkably well kept, and learning about the history of the place and its owner added so much character to our stay.
A huge thank you to the amazing staff, who went above and beyond for us throughout our visit (especially Dil for giving us a lift to the station last minute!). The food was amazing and the onsen was also a massive hit with the whole family and the ultimate way to relax after a day of exploring.
A quick tip on location,, the inn sits on a steep hill, so if you are slightly unfit or have mobility challenges, walking up and down might be a bit of a struggle. However, this was easily managed thanks to the hotel's complimentary shuttle bus to Gora Station, and taxis are very easy to come by if needed.
We highly recommend Asanti Inn to anyone visiting Hakone. We would return in a heartbeat!

Asante Inn completely exceeded my expectations. The room was clean, cute, and beautifully organized, and the food was absolutely amazing. The private onsen was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring, no crowds, just pure relaxation. Access is super easy, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout. This place is a must, especially if you are on a tight budget, incredible value for what you get. Highly recommend! 🌿♨️

🪲PROS
- chill 4 people bedrooms, with a comfy bed and a big personal shelf + locker and a fridge for the room
- clean facilities and rooms
- towel, toothpaste/toothpaste and yukata were provided as well as shampoo and showergel
- the common room was so cozy and nice, with tea and water always at the ready and a great view of the garden
- i was satisfied with both the dinner and breakfast and the price was fairly cheap (~1200¥ or a bit more, depending on your choices)
- PRIVATE ONSEN that you can book for around 50minutes at night and can use in the morning if nobody else is already using it (costs around 150¥ per use)
- there is a shuttle bus going at pretty regular times in the morning. They offer a ride to both Gora-Station or Hakone-Open-Air-Museum!

🌱 i really enjoyed my stay. I had cool roomies that became travel companions and absolutely loved the inn, the onsen, the food and the kind staff!
Definitely a recommendation if you ever decide to stay in Hakone - i would book again!
