Surprised that there is not more reviews..charming place..peaceful and Lorraine is lovely...Will definitely go back..only thing is maybe better signage from train station but only a small fault

Terrible, dirty hovel
The location of this venue brilliant in terms of the train station and access to the local town. That is all this B&B has in its favour. Access is via lock boxes on the external wall - instructions were sent on the day of the visit. On entry - you are faced with instructions all over the venue - keep the noise down, cleanp after yourself. One entrance to the bed room you are faced with a dated, dirty set up. The beds are very low & uncomfortable. They would not be suitable for anyone with a mobility issue. Breakfast was included in the price - but when we went for breakfast it was like mother Hubbard's cupboard no food was available. There was a gap for fresh pasties - when i asked the host - she was very rude stating that there not was anything. It is a shared bathroom. No water pressure and cold water. All in all - give it a miss if you want a comfortable visit

Our breakfast is a self-service offering, and no staff are present during breakfast hours. Guests are asked to contact us directly if any items need replenishing; unfortunately, we did not receive any message during your stay. We do provide a varied selection including cold cuts, cheeses, yogurts, breads, spreads, eggs, juices, milk, coffee, and more, all subject to availability.
We take cleanliness and maintenance very seriously. The property is cleaned daily by professional third-party cleaners, and we regularly update and maintain the space with new furnishings, including recently replaced beds and bedding.
Regarding the setup, some of our rooms are listed with shared bathroom facilities, which is clearly indicated at the time of booking. You selected one of these rooms, and no concerns or requests to change rooms were raised during your stay. We have not experienced any ongoing issues with water pressure or hot water in the shared bathroom.
We aim to provide clear but minimal guidance within the property to ensure all guests can enjoy a comfortable and respectful environment.

Great place to stay
They look after you well. Help yourself to breakfast. It's a good location, near to shops and the train station. Nice walks around here along the river. The accommodation was quiet.
