Nice hotel, highly recommended!

Nice hotel, beautiful location on the water.
Nice lady at the reception who gave good explanations and went upstairs to see if the room was ready (I was too early).
Nice terrace for a beer (or something else) to do.
Room, big enough, well cleaned and...... the last few years I have definitely slept in 20 hotels, but never had such good beds as here at Moeke Mooren. Breakfast is okay.
Even a kind of beach bar next to the hotel (also belongs to the hotel).

Check in was quick and easy. Very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable once i got the heater going. Floor was cold, might want to bring your own house slippers. Bathroom lighting was not bright, for the makeup girlies. They did not have conditioner or lotion. They had shampoo and body wash. Bath water was very hot, tub was super comfy.

Beautiful place by the lake and the Meuse

We stayed one night at the Moeke Moore Hotel, located on the dike of Appeltern, on the occasion of our 2025 cycling trip in June. This hotel is on the "LF Maasroute" and next to a huge lake De Ruige Plaat connected to the Meuse. The hotel has a restaurant. The very kind and smiling welcome of the receptionist who speaks English. Our bikes were parked in a part behind the hotel inside with electrical outlet for bike. Our room was very large and well equipped, with lake view, and very clean, with a nice bathroom. We had dinner at the restaurant, quality and hearty dishes. Breakfast offering a selection of products in the form of hot and cold buffet. Very good value for money. I highly recommend this address to cyclists.

Hotel and restaurant just GREAT

We have booked two standard rooms with dinner and breakfast.

Long wait..

Reserved for lunch, upon entering we were allowed to pick a spot, terrace was closed because it was cloudy.. well then inside.
It was not mega busy but it took quite a long time before someone came, after a 15min we could order drinks.
At that time, we were not asked if we wanted to eat something.
After having the first drink I looked myself if we could find a menu, it turned out to be on the table.
No one who came to ask if we wanted something to drink or eat .. after 40min but got up and asked if we could order something?
Sir came to the table and said “say it” so we say we would like a wrap with some more drinks Sir “oo you want to have lunch too” euh yes we have made a reservation and it is now almost 1.30 pm so what do you think?
I got angry so say “neat that you also ask” .. no answer.
Finally the wrap, sir says “well you must be hungry now huh for all that waiting, the wrap is big so that’s convenient” ..
The wrap was idd big but dry and little taste.
It is that I had a nice table companion but the friendliness of the service is far from being found!
