Excellent hotel in Delphi

Located at the beginning of the town, the rooms are spacious and comfortable with a spectacular balcony to the mountain, with a lot of tranquility.
Without luxuries but with a comfortable bathroom, refrigerator and electric kettle.
Excellent breakfast included. Very good Wi-Fi. Uncovered parking at the door, limited spaces.
Outdoor pool, sauna and small gym.

Experience not exactly positive.

When we arrived they told us at reception that they had upgraded the room, which is absolutely unbelievable since they gave us a room almost in the basement (be careful that the hotel is located at the bottom, so the rooms with the best view go from the reception floor down. Ours was therefore practically on the ground floor and overlooking a garden. Responsible for the grumpy and unfriendly restaurant (at the reception we were told to turn to him to put in the freezer a freezing package... he told us annoyed that he had no place...). The guys who serve breakfast are nice instead. Breakfast was also decent. But I wouldn't go back.

We had 2side rooms Connected which was very convenient for us (2 adults and 2kids).
Hotel at the exit of the city with a parking slot.
So everything is walkable: literally 3min to reach the marvelous Apollon sanctuary and same for all nice restaurant.
Modern rooms and clean.
Included breakfast buffet was great.
Overall a super one night stay.

Traveling in Greece with the family - Delphi

The strong point of this hotel is the location.
A 5-minute walk from the beautiful museum and the archaeological site of Delphi, the rooms all face the wonderful valley over which the hotel is perched on the slopes of the mountain. Therefore, from the room you will have a truly breathtaking view from the sea to the slopes of Delphi. Speechless... the four stars are earned for this wonderful view! Feast your eyes. For the rest, the room was clean, but small and a bit old-fashioned. Adequate bathroom and perhaps breakfast below expectations for a four-star hotel. The hotel does not have a pool. The staff is courteous.
Free parking in front of the hotel.
If you want a good culinary experience, we recommend the To Patriko Mas restaurant. Ask for a nice table on the terrace that faces the valley; it will be the icing on the cake for a delicious Greek dinner.

What happened to Delphi?

It had been 35 years since I had been to Delphi, but what a difference from then. What was then a bustling town is no longer recognizable. Many buildings (former shops, restaurants and hotels) are now empty and desolate. The ones that are still there, they look completely dated, with the exception of Mr. Young's hip cocktail bar. Rose. V Hotel Delphi may still be the least dated hotel, but it does not radiate any warmth at all. The lobby, the breakfast room, the corridors with the rooms, ... everything looks as chilly and cold as a residential care home for the elderly. There is so much more to do with this with the necessary upgrade, because the location and view of the rooms is superior! What a view!!! Unfortunately, the biggest blow-up of the 2 days we stayed there was the nocturnal noise of street dogs barking all night, in response to the pack of wolves that apparently sit there according to the receptionist. It was terrible! All night, those dogs kept barking. For those who seek peace like me, this is not ‘the place to be’
