The hotel was set in the right part of Lyon and very convenient. It has the quaintness of an older hotel, but the ways of a new one. Our room is full of light and had a quaint little fireplace in it. The only drawback was we were right next to the hotel Sign so the room was lit all night otherwise very lovely and the people were very kind.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location, right in the heart of Lyon. Everything is within walking distance, and the hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, and they kindly stored our luggage for us both before check-in and after check-out. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it!

Catastrophic welcome.
Arriving on Thursday, August 20 at 9:15 AM, the person at the front desk asked me to come back at 2:00 PM to take possession of the room. I asked her if, given that the hotel is not full, it would not be possible to have the room earlier. With a closed expression, she answered me that it was not. At that point, I was a bit unpleasant (while remaining polite), pointing out to her that, in other years during the same period, the room was available as early as 10:00 AM. Nothing to be done. At 1:15 PM, should I call the hotel to see if my room is available? A young man answers me that, in any case, even if my room isn't ready yet, there are plenty of free rooms, so yes, you can come...

Nous sommes désolés que votre arrivée n’ait pas été à la hauteur de vos attentes. Nous comprenons tout à fait votre déception, notamment après avoir pu bénéficier d’arrivées anticipées lors de précédents séjours.
Notre heure de check-in est fixée à 14h et constitue l’horaire garanti. Avant de remettre une chambre à un client, celle-ci doit systématiquement être contrôlée par notre gouvernante, même lorsqu’elle n’a pas été occupée la veille. Il peut en effet être nécessaire d’effectuer quelques dernières retouches de ménage, de constater et résoudre un éventuel problème technique, ou simplement de s’assurer que tout est parfaitement conforme à nos standards de qualité.
Par ailleurs, comme vous en avez pu avoir avantage, nous aimons faire bénéficier nos clients d’un surclassement. Il peut donc arriver que la catégorie réservée soit prête avant 14h, mais que nous préférions attendre quelques instants afin de pouvoir vous proposer une chambre de catégorie supérieure, préparée et contrôlée.
Un early check-in peut bien entendu être accordé lorsque la gouvernante a pu contrôler et valider une chambre avant 14h, mais cela reste une possibilité et ne peut malheureusement pas être garanti systématiquement, même si vous avez pu en bénéficier lors de précédents séjours.
Nous regrettons surtout que cette situation ait pu vous donner le sentiment de ne pas avoir été considéré avec suffisamment d’attention. Nous prenons bien entendu votre remarque concernant l’accueil très au sérieux et espérons avoir l’occasion de vous accueillir à nouveau afin de vous offrir une expérience plus conforme à vos attentes.

Great hotel in excellent location. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend although they limit the ac to 22c, which is a bit warm for me.

I would not go back there.
- Positive points for the Hotel are undoubtedly the location and the kind and helpful staff.
- Just acceptable breakfast.
- Many negative points: the bathroom divided into two rooms, one with only the toilet, the other with the rest (obviously bidet excluded); the shower inside the tub, very slippery, almost dangerous; the water coming out of the sink faucet is a sort of shower head made of little sprays, truly annoying and not very functional; mediocre sleep quality due to sheets and pillowcases containing synthetic fibers.
Hotel chosen by the tour operator, personally I would not choose it again, beyond green choices, if everything turns out to be uncomfortable it is better to change.
