Great spot for an evening during a long distance trip

Arrived earlier than we had planned but staff were helpful in settling us in. Lovely spacious hostel - signage could be a little better. A reasonable walk down to the centre of town for some reasonable restaurants and nice views over the old castle and harbour

No help and pick up after shutdown

Be careful when you want to stay here:
Reception only open 2 hours.
I checked in without problems and got key card to my room which seemed impeccable.
Go for some fun in Vordingborg.
Back at the Hostel around 00.00.
To my great surprise, my key card is now not working and the door to my room cannot be opened.
Well, I think there's probably a telephone somewhere so you can get some.
After and having called the 2 numbers I could find without answer
Called Hotel.com and got it all explained to an English speaking lady who says she has now tried and called without result.
She then writes an email to the property which she asks me to check several times within the next 30 minutes.
Nothing happens
I try Danhostel Copenhagen and Faxe here I get through to an emergency line but they can unfortunately not help as they do not have cooperation with the hindand.
I decide now to try and sleep in a chair.
At 6:30 a.m., I finally get an employee who can let me into my room.
However, I choose to drive home when I have to meet at work.
Got no sleep that night
Please be aware that if any problems arise during your stay there is no help and retrieve.
I have requested and have my stay refunded and I look forward to that of course.

excellent

stayed for 2 nights in a twin room with ensuite bathroom, very spacious and very clean. Very helpful staff as we arrived late at night and found the keys which the staff left for us. Kitchen fully equipped. Laundry room has washing and drying machines. The only thing is that it's 20 minutes' walk to the train station and we had heavy luggage, so we hired a taxi as we didn't have a car nor bike. It's a sort of village with grassland and a small river, very nice place. But there are no shops nearby.

Da evitare

Posto sperduto nel mezzo della campagna. Siamo arrivati alle 11 di sera e abbiamo avuto difficoltà a trovare il modo di accedere alle stanze. Una volta entrati ci troviamo di fronte la spiacevole sorpresa di essere privi di lenzuola e asciugamani. Era in verità scritto su booking ma molto in fondo nelle informazioni. Quando avevo contattato la struttura nel pomeriggio non mi era stato assolutamente accennato. Ma forse li si usa cosi.
Stanze caldissime e bagno maleodorante per finire.
Il personale abbastanza gentile forse resosi conto del nostro disagio ci ha offerto la colazione (alquanto scarsa anche questa). Non lo consiglio.

Camera spaziosa. E nulla più

Una bella posizione, camera spaziosa con bagno, wifi gratuito, parcheggio gratuito. E qui finiscono i lati positivi. In tutta la struttura c'era una puzza tremenda di cucina e la finestra della camera non veniva aperta da mesi, a giudicare dall'odore di chiuso che regnava. La pulizia di camera e bagno era molto approssimativa. Da chiedersi se fossero stati puliti dopo gli ultimi ospiti.
La colazione passabile, sempre però con l'odore mefitico nel salone e quel sentore di pulizie mancate.
Non ci tornerei.
