Excellent conditions, however, the double room we stayed in is too small.
The room, on the other hand, is small with a sloping wall, which I had to experience in the middle of the night because I got up early and got a headshot.
The food is excellent, the serving is quite fine, and the serving staff keep an eye on the guests.
The breakfast was also appealing and offered what you normally want. The owner of the hotel was around and talking nice with the guests also to hear how they had it. Exemplary!
The hotel is well located in Skanderborg facing forest and lake and offers plenty of nature walks.

Another great stay
The place is a pearl. Not only that it has a great location, with the beech forest and lakes just outside the door. Then the food is just so delicious. And they make sure there's always coffee in the lounge. Late lunch is served in addition to breakfast and dinner. And the staff are kind and helpful, not to mention a fantastic hostess couple, who don't get out of the way to take a thorn with collecting plates and making filled dishes for breakfast. And run the reception. We have been there several times, and will definitely come back ❤️. The atmosphere is at the top and we feel so well adapted at Skanderborghus

Generosity at a family-run hotel with everything in order
Rather than nodding us to book by mentioning all the possible and impossible things that the stay includes, we encountered one surprise after another. For example, we could supply ourselves with tea and coffee, and when we checked out, we were handed over a small bag of water and fruit for the ride with a warm smile. We'll be back for sure.

Really good place, best in the summer due to the lake
Friendly servants, friendly "check in and out" people. The bed was 2 single beds next to each other. So if you put it at night, you almost fell to the floor. But good mattresses, pillows and dynes. There was a small desk with a chair, a sofa and a small table in the room.
The food was incredibly delicious and the self-service with drinks was a plus!
The only minus was that spindle tissue had not been removed. There was a dead spider under the radiator and some spider tissue in every corner of the room. But bed linen and bathroom looked extremely clean!
