This countryside B&B is within 20 minutes’ drive of Odense and Kerteminde. It provides free Wi-Fi internet access. Birkende B&B’s simply decorated guest rooms feature wooden floors and a seating area. Toilets and showers are shared.

Family Weekend

We had a very nice family weekend at Birkende bed and breakfast. We rented 8 double rooms (all with their own large bathroom + really good beds) and we could so freely dispose of a bright and cozy common room where we could prepare food, sit and eat together, play games and have fun. We also had the pleasure of the good terrace at the common space, of the beautiful garden and of looking at the vineyards on the ground. On Saturday we took the short trip to Odense. Everything at Birkende B&B is nice and clean, and the hosts are helpful and nice. You feel very welcome and comfortable. A lovely place.

Honestly, I have to say that I can't really understand the good judgments. Maybe it's because we weren't housed in the part of the B&B you see on the net. We were accommodated in a newly built part. When we arrived I wanted to leave immediately because what we saw did not agree with our expectations (pictures to follow). The room was quite small and dark. The communal kitchen is not particularly well equipped. Since I had the opportunity to cancel three days, I did. The next day I reversed the cancellation to the hosts as there was no real e alternative (high season). The price I then paid was higher than that at Booking.com, although the hosts said they had to save referral fee of 20% on direct Booking Referral, a not necessarily fair offer. We slept well and Birkende is perfect for exploring Funen.

Lovely place and amazing people. Owners helped us to get to the concert and shared some of their lovely local wine with us.
