Beautiful stay

Coco hotel is a beautiful hotel. From the moment you walk in, you notice that every detail has been accounted for (beautiful bar, cosy courtyard). The rooms are tastfully decorated rooms, although not very big.
The location is very good. Public transport is very easily accessible and there are bikes you can rent, which are also well equiped.
Our main point of critique was the noise coming from the courtyard. Every morning around 6 there was a lot of stumbling and loud banging coming from the courtyard. This impacted our sleep.

Fun decor, no AC nor coffee in room

I appreciate that this boutique hotel has reenergized an old building and has refreshed it with fun, fresh decor. I booked the hotel for my husband and myself for our 2 nights in Copenhagen because it is relatively close to the Copenhagen central station and for its advertised air conditioning. Alas, no air conditioning! They offered a Dyson fan that was described to me at check-in as “better than air conditioning” lol. Sadly, the fan was not up to snuff for the warm temperatures in Copenhagen the past two sweaty nights. Other issue is no coffee maker in room nor easy way to access coffee. I was not seeking luxury experience: A/C & morning coffee are hotel basics when I’m traveling, & Coco failed to deliver these. Otherwise, positives were: a very pretty, spacious living area in our suite, a lovely courtyard bar/restaurant area, & friendly and hard-working staff at reception.

Wouldn’t recommend in the summer

No air conditioning, no mini fridge in the room, very loud music everyday from lunch until late every nights. On the Monday we even had a drone flying in the centre of the courtyard with no warning.
The room was extremely hot throughout the entire stay, and we had to ask for a fan - something we’d have expected given it was between 25°C and 31°C inside the hotel room.
We also thought it was strange that we should need to leave the room key at reception, the keys are also on display to anyone entering the hotel - not once were we asked to provide any evidence of the room we stayed in, anybody could have said our room number and let themselves in.
The staff were lovely and the service and quality of the offering in the cafe was good - cant fault the staff for being so welcoming and polite.
