This hostel is located next to a wood, 2 km from Køge Station and 3 km from Søndre Beach. It offers free Wi-Fi, a communal kitchen and a TV lounge. Friendly Hostel , Great Staff, Lovely Town

Off the beaten track but you can go to the Centrum and Strand by bike in ten minutes . Staff was very pleasant, spoke English very well . Beds were comfortable and with trundle bed we had a lovely double bed . Bathroom was basic but clean . Can not understand why the shower enclosures do not have a bottom curb to hold the water within the shower enclosure but throughout Denmark they do not . Quite messy , wet and disturbing .
Room was quite large with en-suite bathroom . Breakfast also was basic but had a number of choices that were good . Warm rolls make the breakfast complete . Made us feel at home . Bike storage was undercover.

Nice hostel with friendly staff

Nice hostel with spacious showers, very nice stuff, parking onsite, late check-in was possible (and already prepared) although we didn't make use of it in the end, in the end you have to be aware that it's a hostel..

Nice hostel a short drive from Copenhagen

2 adults and 2 kids in a family room with private bathroom for 600 DKK (if you bring linen and towels yourself). We even received free vouchers for Køge Museum and Køge Swimworld (worth DKK 460 DKK in total).
Room was nice and clean and had 2 bunk beds. Other facilities also quite nice. Breakfast can be recommended: A wide selection of dairy products, fresh bread, toppings, fruit and vegetables.
Even if the hostel is only a short drive from Copenhagen, don't miss out a visit to the historic town centre of Køge.

Excellent hostel

We did a quick stop here on our way through Denmark. We stayed in a family room with private bath. This will probably get a bit cramped if there are five guests but four fits without problem.
The reception has limited opening times so remember to let them know if you will be arriving late. We did and there were no problems.
Breakfast was better than expected and the free WiFi also worked well (although this was low-season).
The location s on the edge of town and easy to get to by car (they had ample parking). It is 2+km to the beach.
This is a hostel so you have to bring your own bedding (or rent it) and you are expected to clean your room before you leave.

A modern hostel on the edge of town

Like other Danhostels, you need to hire bedlinen and a towel if you don't bring your own, and you'll have to make up the bed yourself, strip it when you leave and empty the bin. This one even has a Hoover in each room and asks guests to use it before departing. All fair enough, given the budget price. We had an en suite room with two double bunk beds to ourselves. The hostel is modern and is clearly used for conferences and training courses. The bedrooms are quite basic but the public rooms are large and reasonably comfortable, and there's a grassy area at the back where kids can kick a football around. The wifi is free and Reception is helpful - ask for free tickets to the town museum and other places. The location is perhaps a couple of miles from the town centre and you'll probably want to take a bus unless you have your own transport. The breakfast buffet was good value .
