Nice place for a break

I visited this property with my friends during summer time and it shown up it was a good choice. Good beer and very nice potato soup. It was a nice surprise on our trip to Karlstejn.I will probably go there next time definatelly recommended!

Understand what Dog Friendly actually means!!

I recently had the displeasure of staying at MMX Pivotel, and it was an experience I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. The concrete decor might appeal to some, but for me, it felt like being trapped in a dystopian nightmare.
The check-in process was excruciatingly slow, as if the staff were operating in slow motion. And don't even get me started on the so-called "dog-friendly" policy. It's a recipe for disaster, as selfish guests sneak their noisy pets into the hotel without the reception's knowledge.
During my stay, I was subjected to the incessant yapping and barking of a dog left alone in the room next door. It was like a soundtrack of torment that lasted for what felt like an eternity. The rooms themselves were grotty and uninviting, with questionable cleanliness standards.
After enduring just 10 minutes of the canine cacophony, I demanded a refund and checked out immediately. The staff reluctantly complied, but the damage was already done. This was my second stay at MMX Pivotel, and the dog issue was exactly the same as the first time around.
I even took the liberty of recording the yapping dog this time, just in case the hotel had any doubts about the validity of my complaints. Save yourself the agony and avoid this nightmare of a hotel at all costs. I certainly won't be making the mistake of staying here ever again.

Some good, some bad

+++ bathroom, quality of fittings, sheeting, windows, close to Karlstejn Castle, the on-site brewery and restaurant, value for money
--- curtains sheer, the room doors slam too easily disturbing skeep, matress to hard IMO
More attention to cleaning (sticky remote, etc) It feels like someone had a grand vision once. It would be hot here in summer despite the A/C.
It could be really great with a little more effort.

Very poor

This place is pretending to be something whats its not. At first sight it would make you think its a classy hotel but dont be fooled its more like a cheap roadside motel. It features very poor staff who is not welcomming at all and just makes stupid jokes. It has almost no ventilation throughout the hotel, rooms have just split unit AC which doesnt change the air and conference rooms have no nothing so its about 35 degrees there. Elevator makes you think its 1975 and you will die in it. Breakfast is very basic as well. Overall impression is not good at all and we wont come back there for sure, its a waste of money on something very poor.

Good lunch.

The food and beer is good, portions are big and price is very friendly. The lunch offer is really cheap price. The staff is fast. The black box concrete building looks better inside than outside, but it is not important here if I like this architecture. They cook and serve very well.
