Simple, but the View!

My cousin and I arrived 2 months ago without booking, after 3 days in the Central Kalahari. The office was empty but young Jack arrived and contacted the owner, asking us to wait. Meanwhile he showed us around the site and the magnificent view. And the wonderful life sized elephant he was sculpting as an Arts student. He had already started on a rhino.
There is no running hot water, but what's one more day after 3 days without showers in the Central Kalahari. Water is scarce enough here. But then Jack offered us a bucket of piping hot water heated on a campfire and brought it up to the ablutions. More than enough for 2 ladies.
He and the owner are both so delightful, this experience really crowned an extraordinary month in Botswana.

We arrived at a closed reception and were the only people in the camp. A young girl came walking up and showed us our tent. The tent, bedding etc. were clean, with a small flash light as the only means of light. The ablution had no water, and the toilets had no seats. There was a care taker who called the owner when we asked, and he then instructed the care taker to turn the water on. When we asked about warm water he said the care taker will boil some water on the fire and we had to bath in buckets provided. The care taker were helpful.
It wasn't a bad experience, but definitely a rip-off for what we paid.

Beautiful camping option near Serowe

Wonderful spot on top of a hill, with gorgeous views and sunrises and sunsets, spacious camp sites with barbecue facilities, ablution blocks with showers and toilets.
There are also tented rooms but we did not try them.
Our host, Pule, was very hospitable and willing to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
A nice option if you travel in the region, or make a stop-over en route to / from the North.

Affordable hilltop campsite

Quaint little camp spot situated on a hillock with beautiful views, friendly host, good ablutions and attractive communal boma and shaded outside lounge. This is hospitable value for money at its best.

Ottimo camping a Paje

Il camping è molto semplice, ma il proprietario è di una gentilezza estrema. Ci ha aspettato fino a tardi per darci il benvenuto nel suo camping.
Le piazzole solo larghe e pulite. Tutti i servizi sono disponibili. Come location si trova a 5 minuti dal Khama Rhino e come presto è onestissimo.
Molto consigliato in generale come camping
