PERFECT Hotel

I travel extensively for both business and leisure, and I have experienced many excellent hotels. My recent 6-night 'solo' stay at the Lavan Hotel in Leuven has been exceptional - it is small yet PERFECT hotel. The hospitality is genuinely warm, the room and bath/shower facilities immaculate, and the cleanliness throughout the property is flawless. The pillows, bed-linen, and luxurious 5-star towels are of high quality and comfort. At night, the place is quiet and I slept very well.
The spacious lounge and breakfast room offer a 'panoramic' view of their beautifully landscaped garden, sun deck and serene pond, creating a tranquil and relaxing ambiance during breakfast. The continental breakfast selection is diverse, including boiled and scrambled eggs, and '99% perfect' fried eggs (I have shared my feedback, and the owner knows how get the fried eggs score to 100% perfect). For me, it truly felt like a home away from home, made my business trip far more enjoyable and relaxing.
I am already looking forward to my next visit to this hotel – whether for business or a holiday with my husband. I highly recommend this hotel to business and leisure travellers alike, whether travelling solo, as a couple, or a small group of friends/work colleagues. Excellent value for money – every city should have a Lavan Hotel.

absoloute gem of a stay

We honestly could not fault this place it was everything we needed on our stay.
free parking on the drive.
excellent choice of breakfast in a great clean cosy environment.
great hosts with plenty of local information and a well-marked out map.
lovely comfortable, clean, warm room
lovely big garden which would be awesome to sit out in during the warmer months
There's a bus stop literally right outside with a very short (walkable) journey into the town centre
we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again at anytime as it is 100% better than staying in a chain hotel

Feels like coming home.

Whether we go to Belgium for business or for private events, we stay with Lavan. Nice clean rooms, a nice breakfast in a warm homey atmosphere and 2 super hosts. Every time it feels a bit like coming home. See you soon, guys and keep up the good work!

Gem of a B&B unlike a hotel chain

I usually book rooms in hotel chains, as I know what I to expect, and am wary of unexpected and inconsistent B&Bs. However, this was an excellent. The owners were very welcoming. Most important to me were the quiet and clean bedroom and nice shower. They have put in a few unique features, like having a radio and lights in the shower. Breakfast was standard continental breakfast with cereals, cold meats, breads and tea/coffee. However, there were also boiled and scrambled eggs that came from the 10-11 chicken that they have in a coop in the garden. I also noticed some rabbits roaming and fish in a pond. The weather wasn’t suitable, but in the summer, it would be stunning to have breakfast outdoors. The price was very good value for money. Location was great. There is a bus stop to the city centre nearby, though I preferred to walk everywhere.
In summary, highly recommended and worth 5/5.

a nice place in Leuven

I stayed in this B&B during my business trip. I really enjoyed staying at that place and can recommend it to anyone. The place is great - nice and cosy, an owner is extremely nice and helpful and location is also very attractive. It is located within 20 minutes walk from the city centre in a quiet neighbourhood.
